Role: Morgantha’s “granddaughter” and helper

Key characterization principles:

• Named from Arthurian legend (Elaine, alongside Morgan le Fay → Morgantha). “Violet” was rejected as too close to Volenta (transcribed “Violetta”); “Beth” and “Anna” (Annabelle clash) were also considered.
• Presented as Morgantha’s granddaughter. Whether she’s actually blood-related is unsettled — Michelle first floated her as Bella’s child, then leaned toward her being an unrelated Barovian girl. Surname: Groze (from the Session 10 Prep doc, which spells her first name “Elllaine” — confirm Elaine vs. Ellaine). The prep doc’s Divine Sense read-aloud describes her as an unsullied mortal child with darkness licking at her — so not hag-kin.
• Very callous and quite cruel: reads Stella Watcher’s diary aloud mockingly, over the top, laughing with Morgantha.

Current narrative status: Encountered in Session 10 (canonical), essentially as written in Road to Vallaki — Morgantha & Elaine: theatrically read Stella’s diary aloud and laughed with Morgantha, shook the book until pages fell out, then traded it to Reyna for four pieces of candy. Frightened by Reyna’s stare, she hid in Morgantha’s robes. Morgantha called her “Elaine” once; the transcript otherwise renders it “Elena” — spelling still to confirm.
