Emeric

Source characterization: Session 10 prep doc (Vallaki Gates — the Refugee Camp); Barovian refugee

Spelling: “Emeric” per the GMs’ prep doc; the Session 11 transcript renders it “Emmerich.”

Role: Barovian refugee outside Vallaki; one of Ireena’s people

Key characterization principles:

• Melancholy older man with grey hair. Said the pies make their worries go away and bring the most pleasant dreams, “and some of us just want to go back to that dream.”

Current narrative status (canonical): Met by Reyna at the refugee camp in Session 10 (off-screen) and again in Session 11. Infected with the parasites (white-blue lines with something moving beneath) though he says he hasn’t eaten a pie. Reyna’s Lay on Hands stopped the movement; the marks remain. Brought the party two corpses for Theren’s autopsy, and went into Vallaki with the party.
