Source characterization: Homebrew, tied to the Tatiana reincarnation lineage

Role: Historical paladin; second reincarnation of Tatiana; killed Strahd with the Sun Sword

Key characterization principles:

• Established as female (Saint/Santa Markovia). Suggested reincarnation arc: Tatiana as a maid who fell for Sergei in her first life → reborn after St. Andrew’s era, grew up on stories of Strahd’s tyranny, became the inspirational paladin figure “Saint Markovia” → convinced Argonvost to actively oppose Strahd (see Argonvost’s entry) → killed Strahd with the Sun Sword, his second vampiric death → died when Strahd later returned and killed her.
• Not formally part of the Order of the Silver Dragon — she inspires and allies with them but is her own faction/hero.
• Her remains are brought to Krezk after her death — this matters, since consecrated/protected remains prevent Strahd from taking direct revenge on that location (unlike Argonvost’s remains, kept as a trophy in Castle Ravenloft, which is why the Silver Dragon order could be targeted).
• May be a reincarnation-lineage ancestor tying directly to Ireena — see Ireena/Tatiana entry below.

Current narrative status: Historical figure, centuries deceased. St. Andrew’s Church in Vallaki (which actually houses St. Andrew’s bones, not hers) is confirmed as dating from this general era.
